Hooniak

A shared musical language.

Love, beauty, pain, loss, protest, and longing are feelings that we have all experienced in one way or another, regardless of language, geography, or culture. Every land has its own stories of these emotions, and every culture has preserved them in its poetry, songs, and melodies.

For us at Hooniak, music is a way of discovering these human connections—connections that sometimes remain hidden behind differences in language and culture.

Our musical roots lie in Iranian culture, but our curiosity and love for music lead us toward the melodies and stories of other lands. By bringing these musical traditions together, we strive to create a space where different cultures are not in opposition to one another, but in dialogue with each other.

At Hooniak, instruments and voices each contribute their own part to this dialogue. We do not seek to erase differences; on the contrary, we believe that the beauty of music lies in preserving these differences and discovering what they share.

For us, a Persian song, a Russian song, or a melody from another corner of the world can be different expressions of a shared emotion. We may not understand the words of a song, but we can feel the sorrow, hope, longing, or protest within it.

**For us, Hooniak is more than just a musical group; it is an attempt to listen to one another beyond the boundaries of language and to discover what connects us, despite all our differences.**
